The Police Inspectorate of Kosovo (PIK) after a two-month investigation has arrested a suspect today by conducting a raid in consultation with the Prosecutor.

With the authorization of the prosecutor and the Basic Court in Pristina, PIK investigators have also conducted a raid in Pristina on suspicion that a police officer A.I. , investigator at the Police Station – South (regional directory  of Pristina) has committed the criminal offenses Abbuse of official duty  or authority “and” Unauthorized ownership, possession of weapons “foreseen by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo..

Today (09.03.2018) PIK investigators have applied the order issued by the Basic Court in Pristina and searched for a location in the Hospital Neighborhood in Pristina where a pistol with a charger ,a gun with the THOMSON inscription, two hunting cartridges,. six different cartridges (suspected to be pistols), 7 knives of different models, metal bars, metal boxes, etcwere confiscated and which will serve for further criminal proceedings.

Upon the decision of the state prosecutor, PIK investigators have arrested the suspect and the same was assigned the detention measure for 48 hours until the continuation of other judicial proceedings.

PIK has also recommended the measure of suspending the police officer as an administrative measure.
