PIK investigators were informed yesterday about a case of fire in the archive office of the Police Station in Drenas. There have been invited also firefighter teams.

The fire was localized while the PIK investigators together with other relevant units went to the scene and inspected the scene investigating the circumstances that characterize this case in order to reveal the causes of the fire and which according to initial investigations is suspected that is caused by carelessnes

The Police Inspectorate of Kosovo has recommended the suspension of three Kosovo Police officials (two police officers and one of the KP civilian staff) related with the same case.

It was recommended suspension measure in the interest of the investigative procedure with the suspicion that they have committed the criminal offense of “causing general danger” ..

Investigators in coordination with the competent prosecution will undertake other investigative actions towards the full clarification of the circumstances of this case.​
