PIK recommended the suspension of three police officers in Prishtina

After the arrest of a police officer on January 28, 2021 on suspicion of ill-treatment in the exercise of official duty, another video was published in the media.
Based on the footage of this video, it was suspected of exceeding police authority during the use of force by some police officers in Prishtina.
The case was initiated in PIK and investigators in consultation with the prosecutor are engaged in taking concrete investigative actions regarding this case.

Police Inspectorate has given the recommendation for suspension of these three police officers, while PIK investigators in coordination with the competent prosecutor will undertake other investigative actions in the coming days to clarify the circumstances of this case.
